Battir is a Palestinian village in the West Bank, 6.4 km west of Bethlehem, and southwest of Jerusalem. In addition, Battir is famous for its stone terraces and Roman-era irrigation system that its residents still use for their crops. Also, Battir is one of UNESCO's world heritage sites.

Munir Alawi is a photographer, documentarian, and digital artist. He was born and raised in Bethlehem, Palestine. Passion for photography began when he first encountered the extraordinary facets of life in his home city. His work reveals a visual record of his experiences, emotions and visions.
